Park Ave One Bedroom

The ingenious transformation of this typical small one bedroom apartment on Park Avenue, was to bring it to life as a stylishly comfortable, luminous space. The goal being to maximize the use of the little light available due to its positioning at the back of the building. Mirrors and a light color palette became the answer to this dilemma. Using the residents fine collection of antique silver as the back drop for the inspiration throughout, the use of glass, soft blues, pinks and off whites all punctuated the energy of the space with a very feminine modern feel that used certain antique heirloom furniture pieces to add a personal historical touch to its ensemble. The open kitchen with island marble bar and stainless steal appliances certainly give it the luxurious modern feel, and is added to by the mirrored salon and powder room, which also focus on reflecting the maximum potential of light back into the spaces. The glittering silver objects in their glass vitrines blend perfectly with this concept of reflected light, and are beautifully complimented by the soft textures of the suede barrel chairs and ottoman. The built in vanity and custom cabinetry of the bedroom glorify the luxurious feminine feel of the matching cream and pink silk window treatments and bedding.
